BIOMASS DRYING - MOLLALA

BIOMASS DRYING - MOLLALA

Designed for high-throughput drying, our Molalla drying operation is the ideal location for large scale farmers who are looking for turn-key solutions. This site works well for those who are growing 25-500 acres and will cleanly separate all the material post-dry.

BIOMASS DRYING - CORVALLIS

BIOMASS DRYING - CORVALLIS

Using lower heat and a longer drying period, our Corvallis batch dryers are geared towards smaller fams (5-25 acres) in need of professional drying services at affordable rates. Depending on the care used in harvesting, these dryers can dry hemp biomass for extraction or smokeable flower.

CRUDE EXTRACTION

CRUDE EXTRACTION

We provide large scale ethanol extraction services paired with a unique liquid on liquid cleaning process that removes all non-distillable impurities resulting in a highly filtered, high quality extract that is ready to distill, blend, or formulate.

DISTILLATION

DISTILLATION

CBD oil distillate starts with winterized and decarboxylated crude CBD oil that is dark in color. This "crude" oil is diluted by hundreds of ballast plant compounds that get extracted along with the CBD like terpenes, pigments, sugars, cellulose compounds, volatile organics, minerals, etc. Additionally, some of the plant compounds cause a disagreeable taste, color, and can even cause intestinal discomfort.

Distillation is the process of separating compounds by their boiling point. The proper distillation conditions will eliminate the vast majority of ballast compounds. The result is a distillate that is improved cannabinoid concentration, gold to amber in color, and more pleasant to ingest.

The distillation process is called "agitated thin film molecular distillation". This process optimizes cannabinoid retention and color since it runs under deep vacuum with the lowest possible temperatures and retention times. What this means is a better product with the highest yield due to minimum oxidation.

CONNECT WITH CHTC

Since commencing operations in September 2018, CHTC has established core capabilities in drying hemp and primary extractions to produce crude oil at two manufacturing locations in Oregon. In 2019, CHTC will expand into refinement (distillation and isolation) and in 2020 into producing bulk formulations and begin supplying proprietary genetics to select farming partners.

For the 2019/20 harvest cycle, CHTC has established the goal of drying and extracting 2,500 acres of hemp (equivalent to 5% of Oregon’s currently registered acres). This objective requires establishing capability to produce 10 million dry pounds of biomass and sustain extraction operations of 40,000 pounds per day (on average), which will produce over 300 MT of crude oil. CHTC anticipates further refining 60-70% of the crude oil produced into distillate and isolate.
